Welcome to MilliDale Explorers
Nestled against our beautiful bush backdrop, MilliDale Explorers is a warm and welcoming, villa-inspired early learning centre where children are encouraged to be curious, get messy, have fun and simply enjoy being little.
At the heart of Millies is our wonderful team of experienced and passionate teachers, who genuinely love what they do. We believe the very best learning happens through strong relationships, meaningful experiences and, most importantly, PLAY!
Our teachers love getting alongside our tamariki — following their interests, sharing in their discoveries, extending their ideas and joining them on their individual learning journeys. Whether it’s creating, building, exploring outdoors, getting wonderfully messy or discovering something new, we want our children to feel confident to explore the world around them.
We see our environment as the third teacher, which is why our spaces are thoughtfully created to grow alongside our children. Natural and open-ended resources invite imagination, creativity, problem-solving and endless opportunities for play, while our different learning spaces reflect the ages, stages and changing interests of our tamariki.
At Millies, learning isn’t something that happens at a certain time of the day — it’s woven into everything we do. We celebrate the little moments, the big discoveries, the friendships, the laughter and all the wonderful learning that happens in between.

LEARNING
Children choose the things that interest them, and teachers facilitate their learning and interests through conferencing. These conversations frequently lead to the recording of learning stories, which are stored in the portfolios of individual students.
OPPORTUNITY
All children have the opportunity to experience a rich environment that encompasses tactile experiences, literacy and numeracy skills, outdoor play, sand, water, carpentry, block building, family play, puzzles, art and much more.

MilliDale Explorers’ management and staff strive to provide high-quality early childhood care and education for young children, as well as a supportive atmosphere for parents and whãnau. We plan to do this by offering excellent facilities, high-quality educational tools and programmes, and well-qualified and compassionate teachers.
